Lainey Wilson Drops New Single ‘Can’t Sit Still’
Country powerhouse Lainey Wilson has released her latest track, "Can't Sit Still," a vibrant, fast‑paced anthem that mirrors the whirlwind momentum of her career. The 16‑time ACM, 12‑time CMA and Grammy Award winner co‑wrote the song with Trannie Anderson, Aslan Freeman and Dallas Wilson.
Arriving at a moment when Wilson's profile is soaring globally, the single captures the restless drive of an artist who shows no signs of slowing down. Its release coincides with several major milestones for the Louisiana native, including her film acting debut in Universal's adaptation of Reminders of Him, out today.
Wilson was also recently named one of USA Today's 2026 Women of the Year and is the subject of a forthcoming Netflix documentary, Lainey Wilson: Keepin' Country Cool, premiering at SXSW next week before its global release on 22 April. She is set to perform at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on 26 March, where she is nominated for Country Artist of the Year and Favorite Tour Tradition

Fresh off the final leg of her Whirlwind World Tour, Wilson will continue her relentless touring schedule throughout the summer, headlining major festivals including Stagecoach, JazzFest and Windy City Smokeout, along with select U.S. stadium dates supporting Chris Stapleton.
Widely hailed as "the reigning current standard‑bearer for women in country" (Variety), Wilson is building on a landmark year. Last autumn, she became the first solo female host of the CMA Awards since Reba McEntire in 1991, while also taking home three trophies: Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for Whirlwind. A deluxe edition of the album arrived in August, featuring five new tracks, including her chart‑topping hit "Somewhere Over Laredo."
A prolific songwriter and Grand Ole Opry member, Wilson has amassed nine No. 1 singles, among them "4x4xU," "Wildflowers and Wild Horses," "Watermelon Moonshine" and the 2x‑Platinum "Heart Like a Truck." Her collaborations span Cole Swindell, Jelly Roll and HARDY, and she has recorded with icons including Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton and Post Malone.
Beyond music, Wilson continues to expand her creative footprint. She made her television acting debut on Yellowstone and has launched multiple fashion partnerships, including her fifth Wrangler collection, Golden West Boots, and The Lainey Wilson Jewellery Collection.
With "Can't Sit Still," Wilson doubles down on the unstoppable momentum that has defined her rise, and shows that her whirlwind is far from over.
