'CLOUD 9' DEBUTS AT NO. 1
MEGAN MORONEY'S CLOUD 9 DEBUTS AT NO. 1 ON BILLBOARD 200
Megan Moroney has reached a major milestone with her new album Cloud 9, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 following its release on February 20. The album marks Moroney's first time topping the chart and further cements her status as one of modern country music's biggest rising stars.
In its first week, Cloud 9 recorded 147,000 equivalent album units, including 78,000 in album sales and 69,000 streaming equivalent units, making it Moroney's strongest opening week yet and the largest first-week total for a country artist in 2026 so far.
The 15-track album was powered by the success of hit singles "6 Months Later" and "Beautiful Things," both of which performed strongly on country radio and streaming platforms. The record also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and was the best-selling physical album of the week.

The achievement builds on the momentum of Moroney's 2024 album Am I Okay?, which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 and became one of the year's biggest releases by a female country artist.
To celebrate the album's launch, Moroney recently completed her "9 Cities. 9 Days." promotional run, performing intimate acoustic sets for fans across the United States. The series concluded in Scottsdale, Arizona, after stops in cities including Athens, Georgia, where she performed the entire Cloud 9 album live alongside collaborators Mackenzie Carpenter and Micah Carpenter.
Two standout collaborations appear on the album: "I Only Miss You" with global pop star Ed Sheeran and "Bells & Whistles" with acclaimed country artist Kacey Musgraves.
To celebrate the release, Moroney launched a special fan event series titled "9 Cities. 9 Days.", performing intimate shows and appearances across nine U.S. cities, beginning in New York and wrapping up in Scottsdale, Arizona. The tour gives fans a rare chance to see the singer in smaller venues and connect with her music up close.
Following the success of her 2024 album Am I Okay?, Cloud 9 marks the next chapter in Moroney's rapidly rising career, showcasing her storytelling, humour, and emotional honesty across a collection that confirms her place as one of country music's standout voices.
